چکیده

Lakes may take a while to respond management interventions because of the implications incremental development and degradation issues. This includes requirement for ongoing participation key lake basin institutions their operations. study’s objective is assess impacts land use activities along Kenyir Lake Basin based on sedimentation problem level. There are few hydrological methods that necessary indicators measure level sediment production, such as Total Suspended Solid (TSS), area sub-catchment, river discharge measurement, annual load production. The results showed sub-catchment Besar River released lowest average estimation at 3833.70 kg/km2/year, produced highest 128,070.86 kg/km2/year flow from tributary rivers into Lake. Basin’s downstream midstream regions had higher values than its upstream regions. study highlighted significance effects anthropogenic factors, hydrological, geomorphological, growth, developmental climate changes variables attributing phenomenon Basin. construction long-term or reservoir catchment plan, combined with formation vision comprehensive strategic vital components sound practice. efficient implementation suggested watershed programmes depends active involvement all significant stakeholders.

Issues Problems of Sedimentation in Reservoir Siazakh Dam Case Study

Sedimentation in reservoirs lowers the quality of consumed water, reduce the volume of reservoir, lowers the controllable amount of flood, increases the risk of water overflow during possible floods and the risk of reversal and reduction of dam's useful life. So in all stages of dam establishment such as cognitive studies, phase-1 studies of design, control, construction and maintenance, the pr...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Assessment of reservoir sedimentation by mathematical model GSTARS3 on Masjed Soleyman dam in Khuzestan Province-Iran

Accumulation of sediment transport volume and reduce the useful life of dams, water storage tanks can be. So far, many methods for calculating sediment this is presented in reservoirs are generally classified into two categories: mathematical modeling and experimental .This study examines the effect of using Gstars model parameters in the model, deposition of sediment in the reservoir tank and ...

Hazard Assessment of Debris Flows in the Reservoir Region of Wudongde Hydropower Station in China

The outbreak of debris flows in a reservoir region can affect the stability of hydropower stations and threaten the lives of the people living downstream of dams. Therefore, determining the hazard degree of debris flows in a reservoir region is of great importance. SPOT5 remote sensing images and digital elevation models are introduced to determine the characteristics of debris-flow catchments....
